I used this recipe from the Channel 4 food website to make my cupcakes, and this recipe from the BBC food website to make the buttercream icing.

I used sugar strands and jelly diamonds to decorate the cupcakes. They're a bit messy but not bad for a first attempt. Next time I think I'll try normal icing with some food colouring, just to mix it up a bit!
Just to clarify, seeing as I posted yesterday about my weight loss, I didn't eat all the shortbread and cupcakes myself!
So Baking Adventure Number Two was a success... what shall I make next?
